Sticky tables, cheap food, fast service, this place is exactly what you would expect for a typical asian cafe.Open late, top cafe offers a variety of Taiwanese, Chinese, and Hong Kong style food. Come with someone who can read Chinese: the English descriptions of the food are interesting at best, and disgusting at worst.

I am writing this review on the behalf of my bf. He ordered to-go, steam rice with beef and vegetables. After he went home, he was so upset after he opened it. The box was filled up with rice, the portion of beef was small, not even 10% of the rice and there was no vegetables. This is so ridiculous! We will not go back again! If we checked the order, we would pour the food out and ask $ back.

This place is generally an after drink spot. The prices are really cheap but you get what you pay for. The best thing on the menus is the sizzling beef spaghetti but overall the food here tastes like it's fresh out of the microwave.

FYI, I've never tried this place SOBER!I ONLY come here after drinking at Britannia Arms in the same plaza. Perfect for those drunchies. It doesn't look like the cleanest restaurant, but it's acceptable.I've tried:Russian Bortsch - Surprisingly delicious. Generous chunks of vegetables and beef. Sweet, yet perfectly savory. NOTE: if you ask for a cup they give it for free!Wonton Noodle Soup - Made with skinny egg noodle. Not enough soup and too much noodles!Club Sandwich - Typical. Can't ever go wrong with a standard club sandwich ANYWHERE!Baked Rice - I've tried the seafood one as well as the ham and mushroom... this is by far the best dish here! It's so freakin' delicious. It's so creamy and flavorful. HIGHLY recommend.Service is always on point here. The workers here deserve brownie points for catering too all the drunk-tards at the 2A.M. rush!Bathroom is disgusting.CASH ONLY! ATM inside.

Great place to grab a late night snack. I got the Won Ton noodle soup with white noodles, and it was quite delicious. The soup is a little on the thin side, but I think that's just how they normally make it. Nothing some hot sauce couldn't thicken up. I've always had a good meal here but you have to be careful when you order!

I'm giving this place the benefit of the doubt and some credit for catering and being open to people so late into the night.Came here around midnight on a weekday looking for a milk tea fix and a quick dessert to take to go. We didn't order any of the actual food so I have nothing to say about that.We ordered a milk tea and the peanut butter french toast. The milk tea was not your typical milk tea... tasted really off and wasn't sweet at all. I don't recommend it.However, the peanut butter french toast was delicious and that I do recommend. Definitely tastes amazing if you take it home and add some syrup.

I go here at least once a month, but I use to go once to twice a week, but then I live in 30 mins away, so I stopped coming here so often... :(I LOVE the night shift waiters here! They are always so friendly! :)This is usually the to-go place for me after 12 am, because Asian restaurants are all closed~~The food is okay, but my favorite dish would be the Seafood baked spaghetti noodles with the white sauce, or anything that is baked with the white sauce is really good here.

I've been here a little short of a million times and I could not love it any more than I do now. Just, trust me on this. The pricing is amazing. I used to live in the Cupertino area and I'd go here out of convenience. The food/drinks are far from pricey and it's good. I've moved now but I still go here when I can, even if it's out of the way. (:Nothing does more for me than some good asian soul-food, and that's what this place gives you!You can't come here looking for those blasé foods like the spaghetti or those other bistro-like dishes. It just doesn't fly so well. I'd recommend the dishes that are legitimate Hong-Kong style, and they do them pretty well.It really depends on what you get, or maybe I'm just damn lucky because I don't have any complaints. I've ordered around the menu, from their milk teas, their vegetable medley soup, and their fried noodle dishes. I've come around to ordering their #2, Tomatoes, beef, and eggs over rice most often because it's fantastic. It never changes and it tastes amazing.I don't even like tomatoes.Really, though, all of those rice plates are great, and so are the noodles.People like to say that their teas aren't as great as Tapioca Express'....... sorry that they use real tea leaves and not the neon colored crap that comes out of a bag? GG.Their service is pretty great. It's nothing like Il Fornaio, but they don't give attitudes. I mean, come on, we're all human. They've never been anything less than friendly, and they've never hassled me for a tip before. They never hoover around and they give me a good amount of time before they ask for an order. They give fast and friendly service. I mean, really... they're not going to pull a chair out for you, guys. Do it yourself.A lot of people like to point out how the food is bland, and that just blows me out of the freaking water. Chinese food isn't exactly known for its taste-bud exploding ways, guys. It's savory and tasty in its own way. What are you comparing this food to? The MSG and salty high-class dishes of Panda Express? Another GG.Anyways, I'll always come back here :DMuch love always!

Not the best quality place but great for late night dinners! Since I eat a lot of late night dinners, I come here quite a bit.I always get the salty fish & chicken fried rice (love those salty lil sardines!), seafood tofu soup, and salt & pepper fried tofu. If I'm feeling risky, I'll get the pork & preserved egg porridge but someone once told me that restaurants tend to use day-old steamed rice for their porridges so now I only order that if I'm desperate for some comfort food haha.Service is efficient and could be perceived as unfriendly, but as long as you get my food out to me in a speedy manner, then I'm a happy camper.

tthis place is great for late nights. Usually not the cleanest or prettiest place to be. But when its late and there's nothing open. This place is great. Usually its pretty loud considering mainly the people who come here late nights are drunk. The food is definitely great for its price too. The staff are usually very attentive also. I would recommend coming here when its late and you don't want fast food joints like burger king or jack in the box. Only downside is cash only.

This restaurant is the most disappointing Asian restaurant around the area. The food is poorly served. I was here one night, and ordered the crispy noodles. Upon completion of my noodles, I noticed a dead cockroach (yes it was a cockroach!!) under the noodles. I immediately threw up as much as I could and notified the waiter. The waiter brought the plate back into the kitchen and told me that they will make another plate of the same noodles. Note, he did not even apologize.Horrible customer service and I will NEVER come back or recommend anyone to this restaurant!!!

Not impressed. I ordered one of their specials (baked fish in cream sauce) which included soup and drink. First of all, the vegetable/tomato soup was too sweet. The drink I ordered (iced lemon tea) didn't have much tea flavor and there wasn't enough lemons to give it the right tart. My main entree was just average. The cream sauce tasted okay but the fish was overcooked and a bit too salty. Also, there wasn't enough cheese for my liking. My wife ordered the onion pork chops and that tasted just as unappetizing as it looks.

If you don't want to read my review, I'll just say: I really, really, really do not recommend this place. I almost gave this place two stars because I like to be a nice person but I couldn't find a reason to, so it's stuck with just one star.I remember coming here a few years ago for a casual lunch with some friends. Back then, it was okay. The food was actually decent and the service was average. My dad and I had nowhere to eat tonight so I thought of Top Cafe because it is nearby and affordable. As soon as we entered, we were ushered to a dusty looking table in the corner by an impatient waiter and were given a set of menus. He returned a few minutes later to slam two glassfuls of water on the table, then left. While I was looking at my menu, I couldn't help but notice that there were many flies buzzing around the table, resting on the windowsill, and crawling near the table. I thought that was just straight up disgusting, but I still ordered anyways. We were given plenty of time to decide. I got #15 in the "noodle soup" category--beef stew and wonton noodle soup for $6.35. My dad ordered a rice dish with beef and bok choy. After we ordered, the unfriendly waiter came by again and this time gave us one spoon, one fork, one soup spoon, and one pair of chopsticks. What...? I'm sure he knows that there were two of us...My dad's dish came maybe 3 minutes after we ordered. We thought that was a little shady because it was a little too fast for it to have been freshly cooked. Because his came so fast, I was expecting mine to come soon after...but no. I eagerly waited a minute or two...nope. I waited five minutes...nope. Ten minutes...still nope! The waiter was even bringing out food to the table next to us who had come in before us. I finally got my food about thirteen minutes (yes, I timed it) after my dad did. Because we only had one set of utensils, we had to ask our waiter for another set, and he took a few sweet minutes to come back with one pair of chopsticks. After waiting for so long, I actually expected the food to be good. As you can predict by now...nope.The beef was stringy and dry, even though it was submerged in soup. It was really chewy in the way that you want your meat to not be chewy. The noodles were obviously carelessly cooked and there were at least three huge chunks (or tangles, if you will) of the strangely dry even-though-it-was-in-soup noodles. They were pretty flavorless as well. The shrimp wontons were okay. A little bland but the shrimp was at least tender, and the wonton wrap was nicely cooked and not too soggy and wasn't falling apart! If you've ever had soggy wontons, you'd know what I mean. The three or four wontons weren't enough to save Top Cafe an extra star, though.I also forgot to mention...you know how a bowl of noodle soup usually comes with a plate underneath it? Halfway through eating, I found half of a clothespin that was clearly cooked with my food on that plate. What...where did this come from again and how did it get on my plate? That is just nasty.Never coming back to this place! Even my dad, who is the least pickiest eater I know, swore to never come back to such a place. My dad paid at the register with the frowny waiter, and as we were leaving...I saw two families being seated, about to eat together...I made eye contact with a girl around my age, and I knew...that they were doomed to a meal of poor service and poor food.

Came by for a HK-style afternoon tea after having great HK-style meals in LA and Oakland. This restaurant left much to be desired.Came during the afternoon tea time and started out with the Iced Milk Tea. The Milk Tea was bland and watered down. ...best described as tea-tasting water.Moved on to the Fried Chicken Wings which were okay. The batter was relatively thick and the Chicken Wings were okay in terms of freshness. The fried bananas were barely edible. I think the banana was over-ripe...Venue is cash-only.

This is your typical Hong Kong Cafe, which is great for a late night food run because well... it's the only place open so late in this area.Beef Tongue Curry - 2/5 - The curry is a lot sharper than you would expect, and that single spice took over all of the flavor. It had lots of tongue, but the tongue was a bit chewier than it should've been.Braised Oxtail - 4/5 - The braising sauce is pretty awesome. It had a good amount of saltiness and noticeable hints of pepper.
